External flash is necessary during night, as sometimes the camera flash will not be sufficient. It is preferred to carry external flash even during day time also. Even a small movement can ruin the beauty of the seascape and hence one should use a tripod for clean and quality images. Camera cleaning equipments like brush and blower should always be carried in the camera bag before proceeding to the beach for seascape photography.
